So guys let’s talk about what’s happening in South Africa:

Tuition rates are being raised HUGELY to effectively price out poor (read: black) students

Requirements for aide are being raised, making it harder for poor students to apply for/qualify for aid

When students in on-campus housing began protesting, their water and electricity were cut off

Police are responding to peaceful protests with riot techniques

I’m not seeing this reported anywhere. Spread the word and raise awareness.
